Charles Seale Interior Design
Located in the historic district of Eunice, the project involved the remodeling of an adaptive re-use loft by interior designer Charles Seale of Eunice. The 1,500-square-foot second floor apartment is a completely furnished rental unit. The design honors the original architecture of the former historic dance hall while introducing industrial elements to the interior. Design elements included utilizing white corrugated vinyl, safety pins and sequins for drapery embellishments, window screen/industrial zippers fashioned into hurricane globes, a stainless steel tool chest for a coffee table, and a tool cabinet as a work island. A kitchen shelf has a concealed up-light as does the custom upholstered headboard in the bedroom. The vintage, refinished and reupholstered dining chairs complement the glass-top dining table. Its base was reclaimed from a bank check-writing stand. The sleek design renders a contemporary, spacious feel to the loft. ✦
