Mr. Foxworth’s company is south Louisiana’s largest importer of textured and patterned glass. His three plants and showroom house one of the largest inventories of glass in the state. The grand, light filled showroom at the corner of Gibson and Columbia Streets in downtown Covington is stocked with ready-to-cut glass.

Of particular note is the stunning iced glass collection, which is one of the most popular products the company carries. The glass is laminated for strength, and each piece, which can be tinted or mirrored, offers a unique pattern with a look of cracked ice. A sheet of the iced glass in the showroom makes a dramatic top for a table. Another beautiful product offered is the restoration period glass that is mouth-blown and designed for pre-19th century applications. A machine-made restoration period glass is also available and is suitable for 1900-1950 installations where cost is a factor. The large showroom also features low-iron glass and pattern and cast glass in 22 stock colors. Custom laminated glass is offered for partitions, curtain walls, shower doors, and other design uses. The in-house design team can create any custom look for any use of glass a client can imagine.

Dependable Glass Works also features an assortment of vinyl and aluminum windows, shower enclosures, and Safety Plus II Hurricane/Impact Resistant Glass. This high-performance protective laminated glass is manufactured in their Covington facility and can withstand storm-force winds and flying debris. It is chemically bonded with three-ply polyester core for exceptional strength and it has been Metro-Dade certified. This amazing glass has also been made blast resistant by the company’s patented method of attachment. ✦
