People who come across a large measure of success in their lifetime often refer back to an inspirational aha moment; an identifiable point in time when an idea was born that will ultimately determine one’s journey and destiny. For Richard Adams, that aha moment was charted over a span of a few years working as a college student at L.S.U. installing aluminum products in the mid 1970’s.

Around the same time, Adams began hearing about the swimming pool enclosure industry and its increasing popularity in Florida. Rather than be a “jack of all trades, master of none,” as reads Adams favorite figure of speech, he decided to dive (pun intended) into the niche market of pool enclosures. In 1979 he launched Adams Aluminum, a corporation with established markets in nine states that specializes in the design, engineering, manufacturing, and installation of screen and glass pool enclosures for commercial and residential clients.
